SUBJECT: Ecotourism in Poland

Overview. The aim of the lecture is to define several major tourism-related concepts such as: ecotourism, agritourism, organic-agritourism and debate on how these tourism practices developed in Poland. Based on several case studies, the discussion will highlight specific projects and solutions (e.g. ECEAT Poland, ECOCENTRE ICPPC, the Wąsowo Farm, Polish Ecotourism Certificate, Ecotourism Network "Between Bug and Narew"). The presentation will focus on the next development trends of this type of tourist activity in Poland and in the world.
